Eröffnung und erster Wettkampf / Opening and first competition

Nur noch kurze Zeit bis zur Eröffnung. Um 16.30 Uhr Ortszeit beginnt die Europameisterschaft in Rostock 2015 offiziell. Zur Eröffnung werden dann 19 Länder begrüßt, unter anderem auch vom Rostocker Bürgermeister Roland Methling. Danach geht es richtig los. Im Teamwettkampf starten jeweils ein Springer, als auch eine Springerin. Beide müssen jeweils 3 Sprünge absolvieren, entweder von 3m oder von 10m. Die Punktzahlen werden zusammen gezählt und schon haben wir die ersten Europameister für das Jahr 2015 gekürt. Der Tag bleibt also spannend!

Just a few moments left till the official Opening (4.30 p.m.). We are looking forward to welcome 19 diffrent countries to Rostock. Even the Mayor of Rostock, Roland Methling, will be there to welcome the athletes. The first competition will start after the Opening Ceremony. The Team-competition will be done by a female and a male diver from each country. Each of them have to show 3 dives, either from 3m springboard or 10m platform. The score will be summed up and then we already have the first European Champions of 2015. It’s going to be thrilling!
